Ian Lawson P.Eng, LEED AP BD+C
Raised in Wellington, Nova Scotia, Ian has made it a priority to live and work on the East Coast of Canada. Upon graduating from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he returned to Nova Scotia to start his career. Ian has been practicing mechanical engineering in the province for ten years.
Ian has experience working for large Canadian based multi-national engineering firms, executing mechanical design in the industrial, healthcare, and defense industries. Ian has achieved LEED Accredited Professional designation in Building Design and Construction.
He has recently joined the Equilibrium Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer after the successful completion of an energy conservation contract with an Ontario based Engineering, Procurement and Construction Company that was working on the east coast. His EPC work focused on the design and implementation of energy efficient measures on existing institutional buildings. The measures Ian helped generate with this firm produced significant energy savings and green house gas reductions.
Ian now calls Dartmouth, Nova Scotia home and enjoys working with Equilibrium Engineering due to their commitment to sustainable building design and energy conservation.
